The Fair starts at 10:30 with Samba Espirito (Samba drumming band) leading festival goers from the Flood gardens on Main Street up to and onto the fair field.
Various attractions take place in the arena on the field over the afternoon, including a tug of war, dog agility (bring your dog and 'have a go'!) and Croix du Nord Vikings. The arena is surrounded by craft and activity stalls, some of the latter free, as well as food and drink vendors. Bay Radio provides music and commentary throughout the afternoon.
Hot & cold drinks, sandwiches and cakes will be available at our Scarecrow Café in both Wray Institute on Main Street and in the large Tea Tent on the fair field. The Melodrome Stage outside Wray Institute hosts live music and singing; children's entertainers will be out and about on both Main Street and the fair field with magical science 'experiments', story telling and more!
A free silent disco will run from 11:00 to 3:00pm in Holy Trinity Church on Main Street. At 4:30pm, Samba Espirito will lead festival goers down Main Street to Wray Bridge, where the festival ends with our Great Ball Race down the river Roeburn.
The traditional fun fair will be open all day in the field next to the fair field. As well as the usual attractions, the exciting 'Skyfall Zipwire' ride gives a thrilling 67m ride at an exciting 21 MPH!
The £12 entry fee per car includes entrance to the fair, a copy of the programme and parking. Proceeds from the Festival supports local charities and not for profit groups.
The Fair takes place on Main Street and the 'fair' field, off Home Farm Close & behind Main Street - there's a short ginnel between the two.
