Join the VOCES8 Scholars Ensemble in the beautiful setting of Lancaster Priory as they enchant us with a wide-ranging programme of music from the Renaissance to today. Whether it’s a sacred piece describing healing waters, charity and love or a favourite James Bond song, they will leave you flying high and feeling good with music from Palestrina, Tallis and Stanford to Ola Gjeilo, and Joni Mitchell.
The programme title comes from Walt Whitman’s beautiful and thought-provoking poem, ’All Seems Beautiful’, here set to music by American composer Eric Whitacre. The VOCES8 Scholars Ensemble were formed by the VOCES8 Foundation in 2015. They perform regularly alongside the Grammy-nominated British vocal ensemble VOCES8 and have received masterclasses from some of Britain’s leading singers including Carolyn Sampson, and Roderick Williams.
