Get ready, the Tour de France is coming our way!
On Saturday 3 July 2027, the world-famous race will sweep through Carnforth, Morecambe and Lancaster as part of Stage 2 of the Grand Départ, travelling from Keswick to Liverpool. Along the way, Morecambe will host an intermediate sprint, while the climb to Jubilee Tower will become the Côte de Jubilee Tower, the first categorised climb of the stage. It promises to be a truly memorable day for Lancaster and Morecambe Bay, bringing world-class cycling to our streets and putting our fantastic coast, city and countryside in the international spotlight.
