At Northern Design Festival, we pride ourselves on being able to provide an open, honest and supportive community. Whether you’re an aspiring creative or an established designer, our aim is to be inclusive and diverse, creating the opportunity to have open conversations about the industry.

That’s why we are pleased to announce this years theme is: Transparency.

Since starting the festival, and as a team full of many recent graduates, we know to well about the barriers many people face. It’s easy to see the false realities on social media, the immediate success, the diary full of connections or agency job straight out of university, but in reality we all have our struggles.

We chose this theme to encourage people to talk openly about their experiences and show people that the ‘perfect’ career path likely doesn’t exist as a creative- which by the way, is okay!
