Lancaster Day

‘Lancaster Day’ will be a celebration of our fantastic city, a city of heritage and history.

Taking place on 12th of June - plus tours throughout the weekend.

Marking the signing of the original charter on June the 12th, 1193, the festivities will be taking place on it’s anniversary. There will be opportunities to visit many of the city’s finest heritage attractions, listen to talks from local history experts, participate in guided walks and join in with some vintage entertainment.

From discovering hidden stories of the city to enjoying live entertainment and local attractions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Lancaster Day marks the anniversary of the city’s official charter being signed in 1193, making it the perfect opportunity to celebrate the city with a story.
