Join us for a memorable day of autumnal walking & dining in stunning Morecambe Bay. A guided nature walk up scenic Hampsfell and a delightful two course lunch at the elegant Netherwood Spa & Hotel, this event will suit nature lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
From Grange-over-Sands you’ll walk up Hampsfell - a limestone pavement of breathtaking views across Morecambe Bay, the Lakeland Fells and Yorkshire Dales.
With expert guide and ecologist Gemma Wren you’ll explore the nature and landscape of Morecambe Bay & discover the area's hidden natural gems.
At the summit, you’ll pause for spectacular, panoramic views and appreciate the Bay’s extraordinary mosaic of habitats - limestone pavement, woodland, sand, saltmarsh and sea.
Your guided walk will lead on to a beautifully cooked lunch at the Netherwood. Enjoying uninterrupted views of Morecambe Bay from the dining room, you’ll enjoy seasonal food & locally sourced ingredients.

Facilities
- Meet at Grange-over-Sands train station to explore Hampsfell overlooking Morecambe Bay.
Accessibility
- You must be able to complete a 3mile/5km walk comfortably on uneven terrain, and with both ascents and descents on rocky paths.
- Appropriate footwear is essential therefore plus layers and waterproofs for walking in autumn.
- Dogs are not permitted on this walk.
- Pre-booking is essential and places are limited to 20.
