Brass Band Sundays at Happy Mount Park

There’s something timeless about a brass band playing in the open air – and nowhere captures that magic quite like Happy Mount Park in Morecambe.

Each summer, the park comes alive on Sunday afternoons with a much-loved tradition: free brass band concerts performed by some of the North West’s finest musicians. Running from spring through the summer months, these relaxed performances offer the perfect soundtrack to a laid-back afternoon by the coast.

Starting from around 2.30pm, audiences are invited to settle in, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy everything from classic marches and show tunes to modern favourites.
There’s no need to book – simply bring a blanket or chair, grab a coffee or an ice cream from the park café, and let the music do the rest.

As well as the music, visitors can make the most of everything Happy Mount Park has to offer. Stroll among the flowerbeds, explore the gardens, let the children enjoy the play areas or splash park, or simply relax in the fresh sea air with views across Morecambe Bay.

NB - there are no brass band concerts on 31 May or 2 August - but do come along on these days and enjoy the park anyway - there are shaded walks, play areas, children's activities plus a cafe!
