Guided Walking Tours around Lancaster & Local History Talks at the Museums.

The 2026 line-up of Story Tours & Talks is a compelling programme brimming with tales of joy and resilience, along with themes of murder, scandal, crime, and punishment.

These guided walks and museum talks highlight the individuals and locations that have uniquely influenced, and been influenced by, our city.

Subjects range from the crimes of Dr Buck Ruxton to the origins of local place names; we cover the part played by women and the LGBTQ+ community in our city's history; riots and the workhouse, lodging houses, literature, and the historic trees that grace our parks and streets.

With more than 20 walks and talks running between March and November, there's something for everyone.

Advance booking is highly recommended to reserve your place. Visit the Museums Website for more information and to BOOK ONLINE.
