Salt Ayre Leisure Centre, Lancaster
Salt Ayre Leisure Centre is the largest sports and leisure centre in the Lancaster district and is conveniently located halfway between Lancaster and Morecambe.
The centre offers a wide range of indoor sport and leisure activities all year round. Indoor and outdoor facilities include Energy indoor soft play, Open Ayre, X-Height indoor climbing, swimming pools, a large indoor sports hall, fitness studio, a brand new state of the art 100 station gym, functional training room, state of the art immersive cycle studio, 8-lane floodlit athletics track, grass pitches and a 1500m cycle racing circuit.
The swimming pool is the largest in the area and is suitable for everyone with a main 25m pool, learner pool, spa pool and waterslide, making it great fun for all the family. Throughout the week there are dedicated sessions of lane swimming, children’s activities and float sessions, plus the exciting 40m waterslide is open at weekends and throughout school holidays.
Whatever you choose to do at Salt Ayre, it’s a great place to visit. With lots of spectator areas, a café, disabled access and lots of free parking it’s perfect for a fun and exciting day out.

- X-Height open weekends and school holidays (except Bank Holidays) from 10am
- Tranquil Spa open Monday to Saturday from 9am and Sunday from 10am
