Since the 17th Century, The Sun has been welcoming guests from all over the world.
From our extraordinary drinks selection, to our delicious food and luxurious rooms, everything has been carefully chosen and thought through. The range of drinks are truly unique, and unlike anything available elsewhere in the region the quality food is made with real care with table service for both diners and drinkers – why queue at the bar when the beer can delivered to your table?
Upstairs, our guest bedrooms continue our theme of quality, offering comfort, peace, quiet and luxury in every one of our sixteen en-suite rooms.
This beautiful pub features exposed stonework and floors of wood and slate, offering comfortable and convivial surrounding to eat, drink or stay.
Accessibility
- For those on foot, there are two entrances to the building. Our main entrance is in the front, accessible from the street. Alternatively, the other next to our beer garden located at the back of the hotel reachable from Sun Street.
- Unfortunately, due to the architectural nature of our listed building, we do not have lift access to hotel rooms. Staff will always be happy to help with your luggage. If you would prefer to stay on the first floor, please let us know when you book and we’ll do our best to allocate a suitable room.
