Babar Elephant
The Babar Elephant has become an instant success with the people of The City of Lancaster and beyond. Situated in a landmark building dating back to 1686. Formerly the Lancastrian Hotel, the Babar Elephant has been totally refurbished to reflect the exquisite Indian cuisine that we serve. The decor is contemporary whilst being sympathetic to this stunning building's original features. When entering the Babar Elephant you will be met by a stunning 10 metre high stained glass window which floods the restaurant with soft, natural light, giving you the warmth and atmosphere the restaurant has become known for.
The modern Indian dishes are lighter, lower in fat and calories and make great use of vegetables, pulses and grains that have a central place in traditional authentic Indian food. The dishes use wholesome, fresh and where possible, local and organic ingredients.
