The Storey

The centre, in the heart of Lancaster also houses the Printroom Café and Bar; serving delicious lunches, cakes and coffee.
The centre has been central to Lancaster's artistic, technical and scientific innovation for over 130 years. It is a purpose-designed centre for the creative industries, featuring art galleries, auditoria and guest exhibitions.
The beautiful Storey Gardens are now open - come and view the heritage varieties of fruit trees, pause a while and enjoy these relaxing surroundings in the heart of the city. Admission is free and access is through The Storey building.

Opening Hours
- The Storey Gardens are open Monday to Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays) 10am to 4pm (March – October) and 10am to 3pm (November – February).
Accessibility
- There is no parking on site at The Storey, and so the nearest spaces would be on Dallas Road car park (approx. 200 metres from venue) or disabled on-street parking in Lancaster City Centre.
- There is a lift in operation from the entrance on Meeting House Lane (access point at lower ground floor), which can be used to access all of the other floors. Access from Castle Hill is onto the ground floor and directly into Printroom Cafe & Bar.
- Corridors and hallways are suitably wide enough for wheelchair access.
- Access to an accessible toilet is via radar key which can be obtained behind the counter in Printroom Café & Bar if you do not own one, just ask a member of staff for assistance.
- There is a hearing loop in the auditorium.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
